Alloy 625

Alloy / Inconel 625 is an austenitic nickel-base super-alloy with excellent corrosion and oxidation resistance. Alloy 625 can be cold formed, hot worked, and machined through most standard methods. Alloy 625 has high strength and mechanical properties at both cryogenic and high temperatures. The solid solution strengthening of columbium and molybdenum in the nickel-chromium gives this alloy excellent strength and toughness. Alloy 625 is non-magnetic and can be used for parts that require both oxidation and corrosion resistance up to 2000° F. Alloy / Inconel 625 is also an appropriate alloy for sea water applications, good for mooring cables and propeller blades, motors, utility boats, undersea communication cables, springs, seals and other types of marine applications. Good resistance to oxidizing and reducing acids such as nitric, sulfuric, hydrochloric and phosphoric acid.
Typical Applications: Heat shields, Furnace hardware, gas turbine engine ducting, combustion liners and spray bars, chemical plant hardware, Submarine propulsion motors, Aerospace components, Fasteners, Chemical process equipment’s and special seawater applications
